Look at the downloads folder, full of crap zip or tar or exe files.
How many times have you read a quick start guide?
How many times have you done a “Hello World” app?
How many times have you used installation wizard to click next?
How many times have you felt like putting email address was unnecessary to use a product?
How many times have you imported libraries as dependencies?
What? Install me?
We download software or try to use product to solve some problems. But, if installing or going through read-me instruction is a pain, mostly we will skip to next alternative.
TL;DR Improve the first impression of your product. Provide an easy quick start guide.
